We must push ourselves a little bit and break out of our normal bodily routines. We must stretch our physical, mental and our magnetic field itself, to activate the chakras opening. If you remember back far enough you will see yourself coming up thru this tunnel of consciousness into the light of this world. You’ve decided to make this conscious choice to be in this body and now you have to learn how to use it.

As kundalini yogis we bow to the light in each person. There is only your own inner light that’s your teacher, your guru, although we learn from each other. There is no one that’s going to save you but your own inner light. So make that connection with yourself and everything that you want and wish for will come true, because you found it within your own self.

The silencing of the thought waves of the mind is the true definition of yoga. The postures and the breathing lead you to the point where you can silence the thought wave of the mind, so you can achieve that witness space, that separation between your mind and your true essence, the light within. The mind is your tool, you can train it very well, but it’s not you. This tool is for channeling the kundalini energy, this primal force, which starts at the Muladhara chakra, the base, and winds up to the crown center.

Teachers should be respected but never worshipped. The idea is that you find your own inner light. I’m here teaching because you want me to be here, it’s my service to you, but that’s all it is. We are all teachers and our idea in life is to teach the pathways of light, to bring light to this world, to bring hope and consciousness, to bring dialog and understanding.

If you’re not healthy it’s very hard to be spiritual. If you can’t gather the energy and focus it without getting caught in sexual games, games of ego, games of materialism, you have to stop those, you have to seal off the centers, you have to change that base energy to the spiritual component. It’s the same life force. Think of it as your bank account. Stop spending your energy on silly things. Not that you can’t enjoy life, not that you shouldn’t have relationships, just be discerning.
